A RANGE of artwork produced during an arts and crafts drop-in course led by tutors from Todmorden will be on display at Ntama Gallery, on Halifax Road, from August 21-23.
Angela Gale, of Artisan Art Supplies and Craft Works, Emma Wilkinson, artist in residence at Todmorden Art College, Jaclyn Fielden, of Vanilla Pod, Estelle Brown, of Todmorden Canal Teddies, Sally Darlington, who runs Ntama Gallery, and Sue Waldron, of Suzo Handicrafts, helped people to create a work of art or craft which they could be proud of.
Crafty Stuff, a five-week course which was free of charge, covered activities including batik, glass painting, teddy bear making, card making, felt making, coil pots, still life embroidery on to wallpaper, jewellery making and crocheting.
Sessions were held on Saturdays in May and June in Todmorden Town Hall.
The aim of the community project was to inspire people to come and try various artistic techniques.
It was run in partnership with Calderdale Adult Learning, Todmorden Together and Todmorden Business Association with funding provided by the Learning and Skills Council.
